More than a decade has passed since Paula & I hand planted the slopes of a hill we named Clayridge and during that journey - with the help of family, friends & shareholders - we have crafted 8 exciting vintages of some pretty smart & unique wines that we have been proud to offer you under our medievally inspired family label.
But alas we have reluctantly decided it is time to put down our jousting gear and put away our armour because we simply cannot devote the time this premium label deserves.
Alongside my viticultural/winemaking/marketing role for Clayridge I have also been working for Indevin winery since first taking a position there running the Pinot Noir Cellar back in 2005. My role with Indevin Group has grown and changed extensively over the last few years and is now a demanding full time position as Head Winemaker for Export Brands.
So we decided it best to put the Clayridge label "on ice" and yet remain in a position to continue to run the vineyard we've made our home and still be involved in the whole process.
Thanks for joining us on what has been quite an amazing journey with some great times to look back on and who knows just what the future holds!
Cheers
Mike Just, Founder and Winemaker, Clayridge Vineyards
